Practice Hub Terms of Service

Welcome to the ELE Hub Practice Hub, operated by Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. a UK-registered Community Interest Company limited by guarantee. By accessing or participating in the Practice Hub, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

 

1. Purpose of the Practice Hub
 

The Practice Hub is a voluntary, non-remunerated experiential learning environment designed to help individuals practise professional skills, receive feedback, and build job-ready evidence through participation in real-world, mentored projects.

 

2. Eligibility
 

To join the Practice Hub, you confirm that you:
 

  • Are at least 18 years old

  • Have theoretical knowledge in at least one relevant skill area

  • Own a computer and have reliable access to the internet

  • Possess sufficient digital literacy to engage in online collaboration

  • Have the right to live and work in the UK throughout your participation

  • Are fluent in written and spoken English
     

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and refuse or terminate access where these criteria are not met.

 

3. Nature of Participation
 

Participation in the Practice Hub is:
 

  • Entirely voluntary and flexible – there are no required hours or minimum contributions

  • Non-remunerated – you will not receive payment, wages, or salary of any kind

  • Educational in nature – your involvement is for your own personal and professional development
     

Your participation does not constitute employment, worker status, or a contract for services. You understand and accept that the Practice Hub is not an internship, apprenticeship, or job placement scheme.

 

4. Intellectual Property and Use of Outputs
 

By participating in projects within the Practice Hub, you acknowledge and agree that:
 

  • All contributions you make to Practice Hub projects (including text, graphics, designs, content, or other materials) may be used by Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. in current and future offerings, marketing materials, digital tools, events, and services, in line with our social impact mission

  • You grant Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, adapt, display, distribute, and incorporate your contributions

  • You waive any right to compensation, credit, or claims of ownership over such contributions

  • Where appropriate, you are free to reference your contributions in your personal portfolio, CV, or job applications, provided confidentiality obligations are not breached
     

All project outputs are collaborative and mentored, and may be refined, amended, or re-used by Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. in future formats.

 

5. Free and Premium Services
 

The Practice Hub offers a free base level of access and optional premium paid services.
 

5.1 Free Access

Your free access includes:

  • Participation in live, online practice projects

  • Access to project tools and collaboration spaces

  • Onboarding and optional mentoring sessions

  • Ongoing project facilitation and guidance

You are under no obligation to pay to participate in these activities. You may contribute to projects on a purely voluntary and educational basis for as long as you like, subject to eligibility.
 

5.2 Premium Services
 

Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. also offers a paid upgrade which includes:

  • A personalised online career portfolio showcasing your outputs

  • CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certificates and badges

  • Invitations to Employer-Talent Showcases and networking events

These services are optional and available for a fee. Purchasing premium services does not alter your status as a learner or volunteer. It also does not create any form of employment or service contract with Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. Prices and details of premium services are published on our website and may change from time to time. Access to premium services is governed by these Terms and any additional terms provided at point of purchase.
 

6. Employer-Linked and Co-Created Projects
 

From time to time, Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. may co-design or facilitate projects in partnership with:
 

  • Employers interested in talent development

  • Not-for-profit or social impact organisations

  • Other stakeholders aligned with our mission
     

6.1 Purpose of Employer-Linked Projects
 

All projects—whether developed internally or with external partners—are designed primarily as learning-by-doing experiences for participants. The educational and voluntary nature of your participation remains unchanged, regardless of project origin.
 

These projects:

  • Are facilitated and mentored by Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C.

  • Do not require fixed hours, minimum contributions, or deliverables

  • Are not paid work placements, internships, or employment of any kind

  • May involve working on simulated or real-world briefs that enhance learning
     

Your involvement in employer-linked projects is always optional.
 

6.2 Use of Contributions in Employer-Linked Projects
 

When contributing to any project, including those involving employers:
 

  • You grant Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C the same licence rights as outlined in Section 4

  • Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. may share or demonstrate project outputs (with or without attribution) to employers or stakeholders for educational, marketing, or impact reporting purposes

  • Employers do not gain ownership or control over your individual work unless otherwise agreed in writing and with your consent

  • Your personal data will not be shared with any third party without your explicit permission
     

These projects are designed to give you authentic practice opportunities and, in some cases, exposure to potential employers, but do not guarantee employment, interviews, or future opportunities.


7. No Guarantee of Employment or Outcomes

The Practice Hub is a skills-based learning platform and makes no guarantees that your participation will lead to employment, interviews, paid work, or career advancement. However, the experience and evidence you gain may strengthen your professional profile.

 

8. Data Protection and Privacy
 

We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and store your information. By joining the Practice Hub, you consent to us contacting you via email or other digital platforms regarding your participation.

 

9. Community Expectations
 

All participants must:
 

  • Behave respectfully and professionally toward other participants and mentors

  • Use the digital tools and project spaces for their intended purposes only

  • Not share, distribute, or misuse any confidential or sensitive information obtained through the Practice Hub
     

We reserve the right to remove any participant who violates these expectations or disrupts the learning environment.

 

10. Confidentiality and Third-Party Projects
 

Some projects may involve our social impact partners, stakeholders, or employers. If a project involves confidential information or third-party intellectual property, you may be required to sign a short non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
 

You agree not to disclose or use any sensitive or proprietary information learned through such projects outside of the Practice Hub.

 

11. Service Access and Termination
 

You may stop participating at any time without penalty. Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. also reserves the right to:
 

  • Limit or suspend access to the Practice Hub for technical, operational, or policy reasons

  • Terminate or restrict your participation if you breach these Terms or become ineligible

 

12. Limitation of Liability
 

The Practice Hub is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Experiential Learning and Employability Hub C.I.C. disclaims all warranties and is not liable for:
 

  • Any loss or damage to your data, device, or career progression

  • Any outcome arising from your participation or use of Practice Hub content

  • Any third-party links, tools, or resources used during your participation
     

Your use of the Practice Hub is at your own discretion and risk.

 

13. Changes to These Terms
 

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and your continued use of the Practice Hub will be deemed as acceptance of the updated Terms.

 

14. Governing Law
 

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
