How it works

Most of the projects take place within our own organisation and direct stakeholder network. This allows us to create a combined learning and practical experience environment, where we support you to achieve real-world results, but don’t mind if you make mistakes along the way.

Choose a role from our list of Experiential Learning Programmes (ELP’s) and apply to participate.

If your application is successful, you will be assigned this role within a team in a real-world project.

Learning Outcomes

You will be given a guide with experiential learning outcomes, evidence requirements, and assessment criteria.

You will be assessed both during and after your programme to make sure that the skills you are practising and the evidence you are producing is at the level that potential employers will value.

Manage a real project and produce project plans, work breakdown structures, stakeholder engagements, risk frameworks and project reports.

Mobile App Design

Digital Marketing Manager

Manage real digital marketing campaigns and produce marketing strategies, marketing plans, customer journey maps and data-driven analytics and reports. 

Team Meeting

Business Development Manager

Manage real business development for a project and produce business development strategies, lead generation strategies, CRM reports, sales conversion analysis and customer proposals.

Financial Report

Fundraising Manager

Manage real fundraising campaigns and produce fundraising strategies, fundraising campaigns, fundraising proposals or pitches and fundraising reports. 

Travel Apps

Social Media Marketer

Manage real social media campaigns and produce social media strategies, social media content portfolios, campaign plans, performance reports and engagement reports. 

Financial Data

Data Analyst

Collect, organise and present data from a real project and produce data plans, data dashboards and data reports.

Structured Experiential Learning

A structured experiential learning role in a real-world project for 3 months

Facilitator Support

Dedicated facilitator support to build the right types of career evidence.

Access to Tools

Access to Microsoft 365, AI tools, collaboration, project, design, and CRM systems during the project.

Formal Assessment

Formal assessment processes that lead to CPD points and CPD certificates.

Career Portfolio

Support to build a stand-out career portfolio with your project evidence, with access to a professional career portfolio building tool.

Community Interest Company

ELE Hub is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, which means we do not have shareholders, and all funds go towards our operations, with any profits and assets going back into our learning community.

FAQs

What are the entry requirements?

You must be between the ages of 21 and 65 to participate. You must have completed or be enrolled in a qualification or certificate course related to the programme you are applying for or alternatively have at least 6 months prior background in a similar role. You must have your own computer and access to Wi-Fi. You must have reasonable computer skills to perform your experiential role. You must have the right to live and work in the UK for as long as you are on the programme.

Are the experiential learning programmes in-person or online? 

All experiential learning programmes are run online and you can participate from the comfort of your own home.

How long is each programme?

Each programme is 3 months long. This is to ensure that you can accumulate enough quality practical experience and evidence for your career portfolio and CV.

When are your intakes?

We have three in-takes of learners:

  • Mid Jan to Mid Apr

  • Mid May to Mid Aug

  • Mid Sep to Mid Dec

Applications are due 14 days before start.
Refer to our website for start and end dates for each year. 

Is there a limit to the number of learners per in-take?

Yes, we have strict limits as to the number of learners we allow per in-take, which could range from 20 to 50 learners. Don’t delay getting your application in.

Is there a cost to participate in an Experiential Learning Programme?

Yes, it costs £650.00 per programme. As we are a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, all funds go towards our operations and any profits or assets go back into our learning community.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, you can split your payment over 3 months. Should you fail to make any payments you will not be allowed access to the programme.

Do I need to participate full-time during the 3 months? 

In essence, yes, you do need to make the programme your priority focus for 3 months. However, you can flex your time as you would in the real world as necessary, depending on the parameters of the project you are involved in. 

Can I engage in more than one experiential role at a time?

No, you can only officially engage in one experiential role at a time,  but there may be role and task overlap. 

Is ELE Hub accredited?

ELE Hub is accredited for CPD and can issue CPD points and CPD certificates. ELE Hub is also in the process of working towards accreditation with the British Accreditation Council.

Holidays and leave?

rojects will not operate on weekends or UK bank holidays unless there are special circumstances. You can take sick days if necessary, but will need to inform your team.
